This was a revival of the Chicago Lyric Production of 2013, which was conducted by the late, much lamented Andrew Davis.
The only member of the original cast appearing in this revival was Kwangchul Youn, singing the rôle of Gurnemanz.
The opera was originally designed by the late Johan Engels, who sadly died in 2014. His brilliant set and costume designs were recreated on this occasion by David Farley. Duane Schuler’s original lighting designs were recreated by Michael James Clarke.
The conductor for this revival was Eun Sun Kim.
