24th August 2015

Theatre Royal Haymarket, West End

This world premiére production originated at the St James Theatre, where it premiered on 12th May 2015. It transferred to the Theatre Royal, Haymarket where it opened on the 24th August 2015, finally closing there on October 17th.

The only significant change to the production was in the casting of one of the leading players. The rôle of Dahlia, played at the St James Theatre by Diana Agron was subsequently played by Carly Bawden at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.

Music in McQueen

The music used in this production formed a particularly important part of the creative process. This is because every track that was worked into John Leonard’s amazing soundscape had been previously used by Alexander McQueen in one or other of his fashion shows. Here they are:

(The Girl Who Live in the Tree A/W 2008/2009)

(Horn of Plenty A/W 2009/2010)

(No. 13 A/W 2009/2010)
