This production of Jane Eyre opened in Tokyo at the Nissay Theatre on 2nd September, 2009, produced by Shochiku and Kiyoshi Furukawa.
This new version of the show, shorter and with a smaller cast than the Broadway version and with a reduced orchestra and new orchestrations, will eventually be published by MTI – in English obviously! It will be the authors’ preferred version of the show.

2012 Revival
This revival of Jane Eyre opened in Tokyo at the Nissay Theatre on 2nd October, 2012 and ran until the 28th October. It then toured to the Hakata-za in Kyushu where it played from the 2nd to the 18th November.
The cast for the revival was largely the same as for the original production but with some exceptions.
